  10. INTRODUCTION
  11. ------------
  12. This module changes your forum administration page to allow you to set forums
  13. private. You can control what user roles can view, edit, delete, and post to
  14. each forum. You can also give each forum a list of users who have administrative
  15. access on that forum (AKA moderators).
  16. * For a full description of the module, visit the project page:
  17. https://www.drupal.org/project/forum_access
  18. * To submit bug reports and feature suggestions, or to track changes:
  19. https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/forum_access
  20. REQUIREMENTS
  21. ------------
  22. This module requires no modules outside of Drupal core.
  23. PERMISSIONS
  24. -----------
  25. Administering Forum Access requires Core's Administer Forums permission.
  26. Detailed explanations of how Forum Access' grants work together with Core's
  27. other permissions are available on the administration pages.
  28. INSTALLATION
  29. ------------
  30. * Install the Forum Access module as you would normally install a contributed
  31. Drupal module. Visit
  32. https://www.drupal.org/node/1897420 for further information.
  33. CONFIGURATION
  34. -------------
  35. 1. Navigate to Administration > Extend and enable the module.
  36. 2. Rebuild the permissions.
  37. 3. Forum Access does not have its own administration page. Navigate to
  38. Administration > Structure > Forums > Edit/Add Forum/Container for
  39. the controls. Save.
  40. TROUBLESHOOTING
  41. ---------------
  42. Step-by-step troubleshooting instructions are provided on the administration
  43. pages.
  44. In case you have additional node access modules enabled, the administration
  45. pages will provide additional information on how to make them work together,
  46. and you should probably follow the troubleshooting instructions to install
  47. DNA and learn about how your combination of node access modules works.
