Fetches the list of constraints used on a field.

We introspect the database to collect the information required by field alteration.

Parameters

string $table: The non-prefixed name of the table.

string $field: The name of the field.

string $constraint_type: (optional) The type of the constraint. This can be one of the following:

  • c: check constraint;
  • f: foreign key constraint;
  • p: primary key constraint;
  • u: unique constraint;
  • t: constraint trigger;
  • x: exclusion constraint.

Return value

array An array containing all the constraint names for the field.
